My name is Deina Gudauskaite, and I am 23 years old, born and raised in Lithuania. However, after graduating from Gymnasium in Lithuania, I was determined to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Leisure and Events Management at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Recently, I finished my Erasmus exchange program in Portugal, and currently I am a corporate events intern at CEW. Apart from my studies and internship at CEW, I enjoy photography, video creation, reading books, and kickboxing.
I have always been passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals and wanted to be part of something big. My friend frequently spoke highly about the Wetsus Academy, which led me to decide to send a motivational letter with my CV. Accidentally, I sent it to CEW, and I ended up here. Now, I can confidently say that it was the best accident, and I am happy to be here.
I have learned how to play table tennis during break times, but on a more serious note, this experience has taught me valuable lessons in patience and the importance of trusting the process.
At times, I get frustrated when many aspects of a project are not clear, until I realise that I have the ability to take initiative and clarify things myself. Being involved in important meetings and decision-making processes will prepare me well to become a professional. Additionally, I’m grateful for my fellow interns who consistently support and listen to each other. I also appreciate the company’s employees; they’re always open to offering assistance and trust us with important projects.
After completing my studies, I aim to secure a job in either the marketing or events field. Additionally, while staying in the Netherlands, my primary goal is to master the Dutch language.
