My name is Thomas Binsma, I am 20 years old and I live in Franeker. Currently I’m on the Content Creation course at Firda in Leeuwarden. This is my final year and I am now doing my graduation internship at CEW. My hobbies are gaming and listening to music. I also like to broaden my knowledge by reading articles or watching videos about technology or content creation.
I had heard of CEW through my education. A number of students had already done internships at CEW and were very enthusiastic. After doing some research on my own, I decided to apply. After all, the company fits my learning goals very well. For instance, I read on the website that WaterCampus Leeuwarden, of which CEW is part, is an international environment where there is a lot of collaboration with companies and students from all kinds of courses.
Working on a media team helps me learn how to communicate and present my ideas and suggestions properly. I am also learning how to manage social media content, including planning, creating, and publishing content. At school, I’m also working on these things but it’s still nice to continue learning about this in practice at the internship.
One of my learning goals is to learn to communicate better in two languages without misunderstandings or losing information. Language skills are useful not only for my studies but also in everyday life. Furthermore, I would like to learn more about managing social media and creating content.
After my internship at CEW, I hope to find work in the media or communications industry. In addition, I want to continue to learn and develop myself. I think I gained a lot from the experiences I had at CEW and am very curious to see what the future holds for me.
